  1. Traditionally, Pride in Buffalo takes place the first weekend in June. This year's Celebration takes place, June 2nd & 3rd. Return to top

  2. The Dyke March takes place on Saturday, June 2nd, line-up is at Kleinhans Music Hall at 4:00pm and step-off is at 5:00pm. Return to top

  3. This year's Pride Festival is going to be at the Historical Erie Canal (Canalside) on Buffalo's waterfront on Sunday, June 3rd from 1:00pm until 7:00pm. Click here to view a map of the site. Return to top

  4. The Pride Parade line-up will be on Elmwood Ave & Lafayette at 11:00am. Step-off will be at 1:00pm and the parade will travel south down Elmwood towards Downtown and end at Elmwood & Chippewa St. Return to top

  5. The 3rd Annual Allen Street Festival takes place on Saturday, June 2nd Imediately following the Dyke March 5:00pm - 10:00pm. The Street Festival will stretch across Allen Street between Franklin & Pearl Street. Return to top

  7. Parking is available near the Pride Festival. Click here to view a map of parking for the Erie Canal Harbor. Please keep in mind that the parking maybe be hard to find due the popularity of the event. To avoid the hassle of finding a parking spot or driving in traffic, consider taking the NFTA Subway. The Subway will leave you right in front of HSBC Arena - less than a block away from the Pride Festival. Return to top

  8. Pride 2012 is open to individuals of all ages. However, you must be 21+ in order to enter the Allen Street Festival and the Pride Beer tent. Return to top

  9. The Pride Center is commited to ensuring that people with disabilities have equal access to and equal participation in the annual Pride Celebration & Parade. Our accessibility services include: sign language interpretation on the stage, wheel chair access along the parade route, and accessible restrooms. Return to top

  10. Yes, pets are allowed at the event. We do, however, strongly recommend leaving pets at home since both the parade & celebration are noisy, crowded, & hot. We have found that pets can sometimes be startled by the crowds and sounds of Pride. In busy areas, it may be difficult to navigate with pets who will be walking on the ground given the high number of stomping feet moving through the crowd. Return to top

  11. You can promote your event by contacting the Pride Center to have your event posted to the Community Calendar, weekly NewsBlast, or by purchasing AD space in the Annual Resource & Pride Guide. Return to top

Each year, 50,000 Resource & Pride Guide are distributed throughout Western New York containg information on the Official Pride Events, as well as, listings of local LGBT owned/friendly businesses, clubs, restaurants, mental health counselors, lawyers, health clubs, & more. Unlike traditional Pride Guides, our Resource & Pride Guide offers information that consumers would want to hold on to long after the Pride festivities are over. Return to top

Festival entertainment line-up includes: Kerrykate Able, Julia Weldon, Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus, FY'A Colby-Valentino, The Imperial Court of Buffalo, Jay J, The Albrights, Gental Touch, DJ Xotec, Lady Atram, Charles Masters, Frank Chambers, DJ Lil Jo, DJ D-Tox, & DJ D-Star.   14. The Pride Center has selected this year's Pride line-up. Artists interested for the Pride 2013 main stage should submit press packets prior to the April 1, 2013 deadline to be considered. Please review press kit submission requirements prior to sending. Contact us by email. Return to top

  16. Grand Marshalls are people or organizations within the LGBT community who have strived to create change and usually are local heroes who have fought for LGBT rights over the years. This year, we have decided to have GLYS - Gay & Lesbian Youth Services, lead as the Grand Marshall. Return to top

  17. The Resource & Pride Guide is available at a number of locations throughout Western New York. The 2012 Resource & Pride Guide is due for release in late April 2012. Return to top

  18. Pride is a large public event. Please make sure that your valuables and effects are secure. Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended. These can be a security risk and encourage crime. Also, please be careful. Don't venture around unaccompanied, especially at night or when walking to a vehicle. Report anything suspicious to a member of our Security Team. And be sure to employ safer sex practices, should you find yourself engaging in sexual activity.
