Cyber Center

In 1998 David Bohnett provided the funding for the creation of a CyberCenter at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. David's vision was that the CyberCenter would offer educational, research, and recreational opportunities to the local gay and lesbian community via access to the Internet. He believed that the CyberCenter should provide a full range of Internet and business software available for business and personal computing as well as community education and training through classes on software use and the Internet. The CyberCenter was soon the most popular destination at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and has provided a well designed 'blue-print' for successful facilities nationwide.
In 2008, David Bohnett Foundation and Pride Center of Western New York, Inc. opened the first CyberCenter in WNY located in The Pride Center at 206 S Elmwood Ave. in downtown Buffalo, NY. The David Bohnett CyberCenter at The Pride Center offers job skills training and workforce development, basic computer technology and internet based social networking courses, health and wellness educational information, and a safe-accessible space to access the internet in an LGBT-affirmative environment. Pride Center of Western New York, Inc. and David Bohnett are proud to provide this exciting and valuable service to LGBT individuals and families in WNY. The CyberCenter is open to the public Monday through Friday from 2PM-5PM and Tuesday 2PM until 8PM.
