S.A.G.E. (Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders)

Every week, 10,000 more LGBT Americans reach retirement age without equal access to aging services and economic safety nets their neighbors can take for granted according to The Gerontologist. Many of our LGBT elders are forced back into "the closet" due to discrimination and abuse within aging facilities and senior service providers insensitive to LGBT clients.

The Pride Center recognized the need for advocacy for our LGBT elders and partnered with SAGE-USA to start our very own WNY chapter of Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders.
