Current Vacancies


The Community Outreach Worker is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of outreach activities specifically targeted to young men who have sex with men (YMSM) ages 13-29.  The Community Outreach Worker engages with members of the community online and in person for the purposes of sharing information on HIV prevention and education, resources, and program recruitment, and linkage to rapid HIV testing, primary care, STI screening, PrEP services and other wrap-around services. As part of the essential functions of this role, the Community Outreach Worker: 
Assists with development of the annual outreach plan, which includes face-to-face and social media strategies, goals and objectives for reaching the target population. 
Conducts outreach according to strategies identified in the annual plan, grant work plan and the enhanced outreach model. 
Works with participants to link them to care coordination and HIV medical care; assists participants with appointment reminders if needed; accompanies participants to appointments if needed. 
Documents all outreach and linkage activities on program forms and in AIRS according to program procedures and within required time frames; completes all required reports.
Tracks progress in accomplishing work plan goals; identifies barriers where goals are not being met and communicates them to the Director. 
Develops and maintains relationships with other community organizations to increase opportunities to reach the target population 
Qualified Candidate will have an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) with commitment to and knowledge of the lesbian, gay, bisexual,  transgender (LGBTQ) communities. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, demonstrate familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word) and effective time management and organization skills. Sensitivity to people living with HIV/AIDS, addiction and LGBT issues essential. Candidate must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and an insured, dependable car.

Program assistant (p/t)

The Program Assistant is responsible for reception, secretarial, data entry, and clerical functions for the Pride Center.  The Program Assistant provides programmatic support to staff, manages social media platforms, and assists clients and visitors with resources.
